Forums Code of Conduct

Forums are a great place for both knowledge transfer and social interaction. In hopes of preserving what some call a "second home", we ask you to follow a few simple rules.

General rules:

• Watch your language. Odyssey Anime Forums are visited by people of all ages and backgrounds, please keep it clean. This includes religious swear words.
• Please post in the appropriate forum. Don't be upset if we move your post to a more appropriate forum. We vary rarely delete posts. In the event you find your post “missing”, please attempt to locate it in what might be a more appropriate forum.
• Avoid personal attacks. Debate opinions, not the people behind them. This includes posting images as a representation of your attack.
• The Moderators here at Odyssey Anime, have a monumental task watching these forums. Due to the number of members and the number of posts per day, we sometimes do not manage to immediately catch all rule violations. Please try and avoid taking matters into your own hands when you see someone violating any of the rules. We would respectfully request you simply send one of the mods a private message and we will take action ASAP.
• Odyssey Anime Staffs decisions on locking threads or banning members is final. If you have concerns regarding in incident, please feel free to discuss the matter with us via email. We can be contacted individually or through the EMail address odysseyanime@earthlink.net. Do not create a new topic simply for the purposes of questioning a moderators decision.
• Do not post links to pornographic or other inappropriate sites outside of the Adults Only section.
• Do not use the Odyssey Anime forums for advertising purposes.
• "Spamming" is not allowed in any fashion. The repeated posting of the same topic across multiple forums, or even within the same forum qualifies as “Spam”. This also includes posting simply for the sake of increasing your post count, bumping threads, or posting “I like Anime” 1000 times.
• If you receive a week ban do not rely on us to remember when its up. It is your responsibility to send us an email once your ban is over. Simply send an email to the OAMods mail list stating your ban is over and we will remove it.
• Attempting to bypass a temporary ban by accessing the forums with another account will result in a perma ban.

Signature rules:
    Odyssey Anime attempts to provide an atmosphere that supports the general population. That said, we strive to keep the load times of pages to a minimum. Although we support the creative minds of our members, we ask that you adhere to these simple rules when using your Personal Pics & Signature files.

• Combination of personal Pic, Personal Image and Signature MUST be under 20kb in size - this includes Flash, animated gifs, etc.
• NO JAVA...NO JAVA...NO JAVA...(Beans or Scripts)
• Image dimensions should not exceed the standard ad bannersize.
• Images that distort the format of the forums (mainly personal icons) are not allowed.
• Personal photos MUST be under 16kb if no sig pic is used. If sig pic is used, the combined size of both pics must be no greater than 20kb in size.
• Only post your custom signature ONCE per thread. Simply uncheck the "Include custom signature" box when posting more than once in a thread.
• Don't post "test sigs", use the "Preview" button to see how it looks.
